The Tyneside Book Club usually meets at The Central Bar in Gateshead. It's a lovely historic pub with an interesting design and friendly atmosphere, just at the southern end of the Tyne Bridge. It serves great beer, and good food. There is plenty of free parking nearby.

The Central is not our first venue. We started in The Union Rooms in Newcastle before using a couple of other guest venues. We were forced onto Zoom during Covid restrictions but have now returned. We are grateful for the help and support of staff.
