Welcome to the website of the Tyneside Book Club.
We are a reading group of like-minded people who meet on the first Monday of each month in Gateshead in Tyneside to discuss - guess what - a book. Members take turns to choose the title - and then we have a good old heated debate. But it's as much about socialising as it is about reading - that's why we normally meet in a pub!
The Tyneside Book Club was founded in 2004, and still retains some of the original members but plenty of others have come and gone over the years, and we aim to give everyone a warm welcome. It has proved so popular that it has generated a second group who also meet at The Central.
